Welcome! Glad you dropped in. If you did- chances are you already know who I am. Congratulations, You can skip this step! If not, basically I am just a college grad who did the most college grad thing and decided to join the Peace Corps. I got my degree in Biology and decided “well this is pretty on brand for me. I might as well join the Peace Corps.” not totally expecting to even get an interview.
… Then I got an interview, but who was to say if I got an interview if I would even get an invitation!
… Then I got an invitation. But there are so many steps before you are actually going to leave, you have to be medically and legally cleared, I probably won’t make it through that.
… and then I made it through that. Now I am just days away from leaving but who is to say they’ll let me on the plane? I suppose at the rate this is going, I guess that it is happening at this point.
I wanted to document my life over the next few years peppered with video and photographs of my interaction not just with the people in my life, but take a biological lens to the concept of travel. Look at the natural environment and how we interact with that environment. Whether through tourism or just through living with it- I want to showcase nature in travel in a way I haven’t really seen being done many times before.
